New York

Today, I'm going to talk about New York. New York is the most populous city in the United States. Now, I will talk about some of the most famous places, monuments and museums to visit.

-Empire State Building: It has a roof height of 381 meters, and with its antenna spire included, it stands a total of 443.2 meters high. It stood as the world's tallest building for 40 years, from its completion in 1931 until construction of the World Trade Center's North Tower was completed in 1972.

-Statue of Liberty: The Statue of Liberty was dedicated on October 28, 1886. Since 1924 it was considerated world heritage by UNESCO.

-Central Park: The park was completed in 1873. Central Park, which has been a National Historic Landmark since 1963, was designed by landscape designer and writer Frederick Law Olmsted and the English architect Calvert Vaux in 1858. The park contains several natural-looking lakes and ponds, extensive walking tracks, bridle paths, two ice-skating rinks, the Central Park Zoo, the Central Park Conservatory Garden, a wildlife sanctuary, a large area of natural woods and an outdoor amphitheater.

-Times Square: Times Square is the brightly illuminated hub of the Broadway theater district, one of the world's busiest pedestrian intersections, and a major center of the world's entertainment industry. The northern triangle of Times Square is technically Duffy Square,  dedicated in 1937 to Chaplain Francis P. Duffy of New York City's "Fighting 69th" Infantry Regiment. The Duffy Statue and the square were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
